October - Vy Pierce, AUSD Board Trustee, and Ed Cabrera, Retired AHS teacher and VP of the League of Women Voters of SLO County. Trustee Pierce will guide us through the various education and facility upgrades Measure B will support. Mr. Cabrera will provide an overview of the 10 propositions on the Nov. 5 ballot and the issues involved with each.
September - Tori Keen, Chair of the Atascadero Planning Commission and candidate for Atascadero City Council, and Charles Bourbeau, Atascadero City Councilman and candidate for Mayor of Atascadero.
August - AUSD School Board candidates Roni DeCoster and Matt Pennon, Atascadero City Council candidate Tori Keen, and Cuesta Board of Trustees candidate Mary Strobridge all spoke convincingly about why they are the best candidates.
June - Barry Rands of the SLO Climate Coalition and head of its Green Transportation Team, spoke about electric vehicles in California.
May - David Donati,. Atascadero High School Social Studies teacher and department chair spoke about the evolving status of American history instruction in CA public schools.
April - Gordon Fuglie, author and museum curator, spoke about the Christian Nationalist movement.
March: Dr. Mario Espinoza-Kulick, Ethnic Studies instructor at Cuesta College introduced the new California public school-mandated course on ethnic studies.
February - Gilliann Cole-Andrews, Director of Public Affairs for People's Self-Help Housing, SLO spoke about affordable housing in our county.
